This group brings together professionals passionate about ensuring that young people with diabetes receive the care and support they need to thrive academically and socially. The aim is to create a platform of discussion and collaboration for clinical priority topics including:
- BG targets at school requiring active management;
- Consensus language and terminology in roles and responsibilities as well as other aspects of diabetes at school;
- Levels of education and training in different countries independent of the country-associated resources;
- Legal framework. Based on this discussion, the steering committee aims to create a School Position Statement for 2023.
