Science Schools
The ISPAD Science Schools offer two specialized programs to advance diabetes research. The Science School for Physicians brings together 20-25 young researchers annually for a week at a recognized Centre of Excellence, where they engage with global experts, present their research, and receive critical feedback to refine their proposals. Many participants progress to leadership roles in clinics and research.
The Science School for Healthcare Professionals, launched in 2004, supports dietitians, nurses, psychologists, and social workers with a research interest in pediatric diabetes. Held in conjunction with the annual ISPAD conference, the school provides a strong foundation in scientific research, helping participants advance their academic and professional careers.
