Prizes and Nomination Committee
The Prize and Nomination Committee of the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) oversees the management of the society’s four official prizes and the ISPAD Hero Award. The committee plays an active role in assessing nominations and selecting recipients each year. The prizes include:

Duties and Activities
- Nomination Assessment: Review and evaluate nominations for each prize to ensure the selection of the most deserving candidates.
- Recipient Selection: Select recipients for the ISPAD Prize for Achievement, ISPAD Lestradet Prize for Education and Advocacy, and the ISPAD Hero Award.
- Program Management: Oversee the management and administration of the prize program, ensuring it runs smoothly and effectively.
- Award Presentation: Coordinate the presentation of awards at the annual ISPAD conference, celebrating the achievements of the recipients.
- Regular Meetings: Participate in regular meetings to discuss and review prize nominations and program management.
- Nomination Review: Engage in the thorough review and evaluation of prize nominations.
- Award Coordination: Assist in coordinating the presentation of awards at the annual ISPAD conference.
