Education Committee

The Education Committee of the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) coordinates all educational activities within the society. This includes ISPAD’s Educational Webinar Series, Science Schools for Physicians and Allied Health Care Professionals, Postgraduate courses, and Pediatric Endocrinology Training Centers for Africa (PETCA/PETCWA). The committee also collaborates with other international societies to provide ISPAD faculty members for their conferences and ensures thorough reporting for all these activities.

Duties and Activities

  1. Educational Coordination: Oversee and coordinate ISPAD’s educational activities, including webinars, science schools, and postgraduate courses.
  2. International Collaboration: Liaise with other international societies to provide ISPAD faculty support for their conferences.
  3. Reporting: Maintain detailed records and reports of all educational activities.
  4. Course Development: Develop new processes to enhance the efficiency of postgraduate courses.
  5. Course Organization: Organize new courses, review applications, and assist in finding faculty for existing courses.
  6. Regular Meetings: Participate in teleconferences every two months and attend a face-to-face meeting at the ISPAD annual conference.
  7. Report Review: Review reports from postgraduate courses to ensure quality and effectiveness.
  8. Faculty Support: Assist in finding faculty for various conferences and contribute to the design of new courses.
