Communications Committee
The Communications Committee of the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) is responsible for developing and implementing the society’s communication strategy. This strategy encompasses all ISPAD activities, including the Annual Scientific Meeting, Science Schools, Postgraduate courses, Consensus Guidelines, special awareness days, Policy and Position Statements, and ISPAD Prizes. The committee disseminates information through newsletters, the website, and social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter.

Duties and Activities
- Communication Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for ISPAD.
- Activity Promotion: Promote ISPAD activities, including the Annual Scientific Meeting, Science Schools, and Postgraduate courses.
- Guidelines and Statements: Communicate Consensus Guidelines, Policy and Position Statements, and special awareness days.
- Content Creation: Produce and manage content for newsletters, the website, and social media channels.
- Social Media Management: Oversee ISPAD’s presence on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.
- Quarterly Meetings: Participate in quarterly phone calls with the committee, with increased frequency leading up to the Annual Scientific Meeting in October.
- Content Review: Occasionally review and edit proposed Facebook/Twitter posts, emails to membership, and the monthly newsletter.
- Conference Engagement: Preplan and write posts for publication during the annual scientific meeting and serve as roaming social media reporters during the conference.
