Our Advisory Board
The Advisory Council of ISPAD plays a crucial role in supporting the Executive Board and advancing the society’s mission. Comprised of experienced professionals in pediatric and adolescent diabetes, the Advisory Council provides valuable insights, guidance, and support to ensure the effective implementation of ISPAD’s strategic initiatives.
Duties
- Meeting Participation: Attend at least 75% of the quarterly Executive Board/Advisory Council Zoom conference calls and participate in both in-person meetings at the ISPAD Annual Conference and the Winter Meeting prior to the ATTD Annual Conference.
- Committee Involvement: Serve on 2-3 ISPAD Committees, contributing expertise and leadership to various projects and initiatives.
- Committee Leadership: Chair at least one ISPAD Committee, providing direction and oversight to ensure the committee’s objectives are met.
- Additional Participation: Engage in other committees as needed, including abstract review, fellowship application review, and prize application review.
- Networking and Recognition: Participate in networking events and recognition evenings, including the Presidents’ Dinner, to build connections and celebrate achievements within the society.
- Travel and Accommodation: Benefit from travel and accommodation support for attending the Winter Meeting (ATTD) and the ISPAD Annual Conference, ensuring active participation in key events.
- JENIOUS Leadership: Take on leadership roles within the JENIOUS group, up to three leads, to foster the development of young professionals in the field.
